Chocolate Cake

If you need a cake – like now, this recipe is perfect for you

One of the easiest and most delicious chocolate cakes I ever made. Everyone who ever tried it loved it. You don’t need a lot of ingredients and it is easy to use this recipe for a small cake or even a big fancy chocolate cake with icing and whatever else you’d like.


  • 1.5 cups flour
  • 0.25 cup cocoa powder
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 3 tsp baking powder
  • 1 cup water

That’s all you need. Now all you got to do is mix the ingredients together and bake your chocolate cake.


  • Start by adding all the dry ingredients together and then lastly add the water. Mix everything together until you have a nice smooth but not too runny batter. If you don’t have actual cups in your kitchen that is no problem, just use a coffee mug or glass as your reference cup. Keep in mind it’s all about the ratio of the ingredients, different sized cups just lead to different amounts of batter.
  • If you have chocolate chips or nuts at home you can add those to the batter or leave it as it is. Remember as always this recipe is not a strict guideline, so add whatever else you might like.
  • Now add it in a greased baking pan, whichever one you have at home will do the job.
  • Bake it in the oven for 30 minutes at 200 degrees celsius (don’t forget every oven is different so check before you take it out that the cake is done), after it’s done let it cool down and you can add some melted chocolate as icing on top.

Well done, you made a delicious chocolate cake. It shouldn’t take you longer than 40 minutes, including baking time. Always remember it is your cake, you can change the type of flour or the type of sugar you are using or add other ingredients to the recipe.
